His whole "chinky sound names" story was pure xenophobic, race baiting ignorance. Keith Ng showed it at the time.

Once again, the official numbers prove it: http://www.nzherald.co.nz/business/news/article.cfm?c_id=3&objectid=11867735

98% of houses sold to citizens or entities owned by citizens.

Twyford and his brainless little enablers should apologise and resign.

There is nothing surprising about this. Do you remember the story
about a resident student in Auckland who was living in an apartment in
one of the 20 or 30 properties he owned while attending a teriary
institution? Why would you buy as a foreign resident when it is so
easy to set up a New Zealand trust to own the property - together with
New Zealand resident and tax-paying trustees!

Resident is a nicely flexible term - doubtless if a student does
decide to return back to a home coutry (or has to), there will be
someone else to take over "resident" ownership . . .

As I recall the single foreign owner with the largest amount of
property is Canadian, but certainly we have large ownership from
Australia, the UK, USA, and yes China.

Of course among the biggest corporate owners of property are of course
New Zealand companies that are owned by overseas companies - banks,
    previous state owned entities . . .

The last 9 years have certainly seen far less of our land and property
    owned by New Zealanders.

Still its good to know that Twyford is good enough that the Nats have
put out the message to attack him . . .

    and:

"Mr Twyford says government has its “heads in the sand” over the issue and needs to implement a public foreign buyers register."

    and:
"Mr Twyford says Labour is committed to banning all foreign non-resident buyers
from purchasing property and to introducing its KiwiBuild policy."

So... Twatford was spewing racist lies and the numbers prove it. He should apologies and resign before he embarrasses New Zealand any further.

You know Labour are in the can when their leader is so out of his depth that he
can't even use his full allocation to reply to the budget:

You know Labour are in the can when their leader is so out of his depth that
he can't even use his full allocation to reply to the budget:

    http://www.stuff.co.nz/national/politics/opinion/93159401/opposition-all-at-sea-after-joyces-nonelection-year-budget

Hopeless. Utterly out of his depth.

Guess a lack of comprehension is a Labour mainstay these days JohnO. And probably a requirement before being accepted as a candidate :)

There is nothing surprising about this. Do you remember the story
about a resident student in Auckland who was living in an apartment in
one of the 20 or 30 properties he owned while attending a teriary institution?

Still its good to know that Twyford is good enough that the Nats have
put out the message to attack him . . .

Twyford is about as good at disemination the bullshit coming from Labour
in bigger and bigger lumps as you are Rich.
