    This is relevant for New Zealand, where our current government has
    blamed everyone except themselves for failure, fomented hatred of the
    poor, beneficiaries, belittled those that ask reasonable questions
    (and demonstrably broken OIA laws in the process), and refuse to take responsibility when they are at fault.

    Some have a hope you'll actually start a thread that makes sense one
    day. Obviously this century isn't going be it.
    Your comment actually describes you and Labour a lot better than National.

    So Dickbot couldn't find something local to whinge about and had to trawl for something happening overseas to blame the Nats for.

    Really? I cannot recall any Government, current or past, that
    acknowledges failures let alone blames everyone else for them.

    How is it that since 2007 National have been elected by a wide and
    getting wider margin over 3 elections? If all of the above has
    happened since the 2008 election then how do you explain National's
    popularity? Why have Labour in particular failed to capitalise of all
    these things?
