    ### - so everything's goin' just fine and then i gets this copyright claim
on the backing track for the last vid?? (the lucid dream)

was pretty careful choosing the backing music in those terms, and got that particular track from these dudes in NY

    https://freemusicarchive.org/label/Da__Heard_It_Records

and THIS is what they say/disclaim right on their front page:

Da ! Heard it Records, created in 2006, is a net-label touching on
Toyz-Pop, Electro Trash, Chiptune, Breakcore and Electro Punk among
others, with a heavy leaning towards 8-bit music and pixel/net art.

The aim of this eclectic record company is to promote new artists and new
types of music. D!HR is an outward-looking label, accessible to
professional and amateur musicians alike, and to all types of listener,
thanks to its policy of open and free culture and to the types of music it publishes.

Its albums are distributed under a Creative Commons licence, encouraging sharing and reuse of the music.

    ***

seemed like the perfect site: a "free music archive"??

    but apparently not!

some 'other' company (orchard music or whatever who filed the claim)
consider all 'that' music to be theirs!

queried this and no reply from the FMA, disputed the claim via youtube accordingly but orchard just say no. no explanation given, nada, just no...

so now have gots to remove the track in question and find another (which
prolly means will have to delete it and render/upload it again with a
different track, the previously given link then defunct

sometimes those gods of zen can be real bastards? :)))

    dammit i liked that tune!

    ### - in this case; yet another incidence of some faceless corporation exploiting unknown recording artists by signing them up to their various 'free' sites to help 'publicise their new stuff, falsely representing them
as being 'royalty-free' to the public, and then zooming-in on anyone who
uses them; not to extort money (which would at least be normal with fees
per song etc) but in an effort to impose their own adverts (and earn from
them) on other people's videos!? it's the only deal they'll accept!

so no choice now but to change it, it can stay there over the xmas and
    then has to be redone...

the music industry being the most corrupt industry there is, their
exploitation of naive artists being renown, plus there's all sorts of
videos on youtube re this particular 'Orchard Music' company and the scams they're pulling over bogus copyrights claims, winning some, losing others, unfortunately mine lost, could appeal but risk losing my account, plus am
thus having to re-check all the tracks i've used to date just in case
    something similar applies...

    fuckin' scammerrrrrrrs!

see? you're just goin' along mindin' yer own goddamn business, and then trip-over a huge pile of shite just sitting there in the road? wtf! oh
'you' did that did you?? on purpose! lol :)))

owns a fuckin' shoe-cleaning business across the road!

    clever marketing ploy see?

(slider wants to rub/grind their 'effin' noses in it haha!)

oh well, just gots to wear waders all the time these days innit tho'

    there's shit everywhere! lol :)

(they don't want anything good on this planet, they thinks they've already
    got it good...)

well you know i would have to say something about this
impeachment horseshit. All i can say is "what else can
you show me?" everybody must get impeached.

    ### - ok, there appears to be some facility/tool that youtube have for
just this purpose; to remove any backing track and replace it with another
and then ya don't have to delete your video and start over if there's a
    problem :)

whether this can work or not, correctly enough & is tweakable for fade
in/out etc via their editing tools, and doesn't affect anything else,
remains to be seen, however... but am gonna have a go and see and then at
least don't have to also change the given link that's already collected
over 60 hits and several subs in only a couple/3 days...

gonna be more careful too in selecting backing tracks in future + in
trying to obtain some sorta clear permission for their usage beforehand 'regardless' of whatever's said by the site offering/touting them; i mean,
nada could have been 'more' misleading than that disclaimer for free
sharing of music etc eh? ('The free music archive' - riiiight) and have
left a stinker of an unequivocal message on their fb page about it anyway
hah! let their followers see 'that' and realise the ride they're all being taken for in terms of these para-sites exploiting people's copyrights in a
way am pretty sure they'd be pretty upset about if they knew about it (i
    know i would!)

simple answer for budding artists is: do NOT/NEVER upload your work to
these sites that offer some kinda music sharing facility while promising
you some kinda returns in getting your music heard, it doesn't exist
except on the very surface of things, and because in truth they're
actually appropriating aspects of your copyrights and earning from it
behind the scenes! and would bet you anything you like that ANY fees
collected by such sites on copyright claims, such as they've tried with
moi, is never seen by the artist themselves; there's no records of it the artists can ask to see!

modern times = modern-equivalent scams i suppose, but it's the same old
    shit in any form really...

and probably the same old thieving bastards running it too!

    fuckers :)

    ### - haha can imagine jeremy somewhere literally creaming his pants over
    this lol :)))

saw this somewhere tho' and it rings the bell:

But even though a Senate trial is now officially looming, Trump if
anything escalated the ugliness. And why not? After all, unless
Republicans suddenly become bothered by his bad behavior — and there’s no indication they will — he has little reason to fear becoming the first president to be removed from office.

    ***

that fecker 'bought' his seat in power, ya know?

    didn't even accept a salary!

so wtf does he care what happens??

plus don't be that surprised if he buys himself a second term to-boot lol
    :)

    he can afford it!

(it's the finance-peeps that ultimately put him in there to do a
particular job, and he's done that?)

everything else is just pure bs hah, pay no attention ;)

    ### - might just have found a bit of light at the end of this tunnel re
    that backing track?

i.e., 'Da ! Heard it Records' wrote back to me confirming their avowed statement etc, and suggested contacting that artist via FB and obtaining
    their permission directly...

which have now duly done and am waiting on a reply :)

so, will fellow-artists come to my rescue from those corporate... shysters?

would be just 'lovely' if'n they did huh, the perfect solution! lol i'd go straight back to youtube and launch the appeal and smack 'Orchard Music'
right in the proverbial puss with that one hah! (i'd actually enjoy that
    lol)

fuckin' faceless fuckers preyin' on new artists; like where have we heard 'that' before eh?

c'mon universe: empower me to go sock it to 'em! hehe...

maybe they'll even get banned from youtube?

    gud! :)))
