### - ok, there appears to be some facility/tool that youtube have for
just this purpose; to remove any backing track and replace it with another
and then ya don't have to delete your video and start over if there's a
problem :)
whether this can work or not, correctly enough & is tweakable for fade
in/out etc via their editing tools, and doesn't affect anything else,
remains to be seen, however... but am gonna have a go and see and then at
least don't have to also change the given link that's already collected
over 60 hits and several subs in only a couple/3 days...
gonna be more careful too in selecting backing tracks in future + in
trying to obtain some sorta clear permission for their usage beforehand 'regardless' of whatever's said by the site offering/touting them; i mean,
nada could have been 'more' misleading than that disclaimer for free
sharing of music etc eh? ('The free music archive' - riiiight) and have
left a stinker of an unequivocal message on their fb page about it anyway
hah! let their followers see 'that' and realise the ride they're all being taken for in terms of these para-sites exploiting people's copyrights in a
way am pretty sure they'd be pretty upset about if they knew about it (i
know i would!)
simple answer for budding artists is: do NOT/NEVER upload your work to
these sites that offer some kinda music sharing facility while promising
you some kinda returns in getting your music heard, it doesn't exist
except on the very surface of things, and because in truth they're
actually appropriating aspects of your copyrights and earning from it
behind the scenes! and would bet you anything you like that ANY fees
collected by such sites on copyright claims, such as they've tried with
moi, is never seen by the artist themselves; there's no records of it the artists can ask to see!
modern times = modern-equivalent scams i suppose, but it's the same old
shit in any form really...
and probably the same old thieving bastards running it too!
fuckers :)
