From Lupine Furmen@21:4/102 to All on Saturday, March 10, 2018 21:01:08
does anyone have Solar Realms Elite working on their system? If so, can you please post your DATA line? Mine gets as far as loading Netfoss but then nothing else shows up until the game times out and puts me back to the menu.

I do have it running though I seem to recall I had to do something funky with the time to get it to install correctly. Can you run it locally?

It's been awhile, but with SRE I remember needing to set the machine time
clock back to 1999 before y2k then install/setup the nodes first. Once it starts working I just set the time/clock back to normal again. Mystic's DD command line: c:\netfoss/nf.bat /N%3 /H%0 c:\doors\sre.bat %3

If I remember right, first thing you have to do is set your bios back to
before 2000 reset the set up the game and then reset it to today's date.

But maybe you have already done that!

Yep, runs fine. Just not sending the screen out through netfoss for some reason.

Yeah, I talked to the author and he told me about the date thing, did that. Tried your command line (adjusting for path differences) and still nothing on the remote end.

Got it working. The problem seems to have been in my batch file. Changed the
%3 to %1 and it tarted working. Thanks everyone.

    DD command line: c:\netfoss/nf.bat /N%3 /H%0 c:\doors\sre.bat %3

The top statement from Skuz is right now this is mine added junk that works
    for me

    @ECHO OFF
    C:
    CD\DOOR\SRE
    SRDOOR
    SRE
    CD \MYSTIC
    EXIT

    Then

SETUP.1 through how many nodes you have.

    inside

    C:\MYSTIC\TEMP1\DOOR.SYS
10 <- Line # of Username or First name
0 <- Line # of Last name (0 if prev line was full name)
    20 <- Line # of IBM characters (1/Y/G = yes)
    20 <- Line # of ANSI support (1/Y/G/C = yes)
21 <- Line # of number of lines on the screen
    2 <- Line # of baud rate
    1 <- Line # of COM port
19 <- Line # of time left (minutes)
    0 <- Line # of Real Name
Enter 0 for any value not supported.

So the batch file calls setup.1 for node one...
    Hope this helped.....

    My SRE.bat reads cd \door\sre
    copy resource.%1 resource.dat
    SRDOOR -f SETUP.%1
    SRE

    And the resource.1 reads
    Install.BBSDirectory c:\mystic\
    Install.DoorFileDir c:\mystic\temp1\
    Install.BatchFile c:\Doors\SRE.bat
    SystemFossil yes
    LockBaudRate 57600

    SETUP.1 .. reads
    c:\mystic\temp1\door.sys
    etc..etc..
I have a resource.# and setup.# for each node created runs for me anyway, works the same as my bre and fe setup do.
