• Echomail Address Oddity?

From Jeff Smith@21:1/128 to All on Thursday, February 01, 2018 13:39:25

    Hello everybody!

Has anybody else noticed this oddity in Mystic -cfg? When I go to setup Mystic's
FTN addresses I can't use the top most entry. I can enter data into all the fields
but when I go to save the completed entry all the completed fields go blank except
the "Network Address" which goes back to "0:0/0". I can enter addresses ok IF I

    start
    with the second line.

Network Address Domain Pri Description ½ï¿½ï¿½ï¿½ï¿½ï¿½ï¿½ï¿½ï¿½ï¿½ï¿½ï¿½ï¿½ï¿½ï¿½ï¿½ï¿½ï¿½ï¿½ï¿½ï¿½ï¿¿½
    ¿ 0:0/0 No ½
    ï 21:1/128 fsxnet No Fsxnet Address ½
    ï 1:282/1032 fidonet Yes Fidonet Address ½
    ï 0:0/0 No ½

This odd behaviour shows up on both this install of Mystic as well as the Raspberry Pi3
    install of Mystic v1.12 A38 2018/01/01.

Might be the first entry is reserved for your local message group.

It's for local message bases, it's fixed. You can't change it and you
shouldn't be trying to. The first entry is for the local bases, the rest can
be remote. Generally the second is your primary network (FSXNET for me) and the third is a secondary network (RETRONET in my case) and so on.

The first line is reserved for local if I remember right.

Yeah I ran into that when setting up fsxNet .. I left it and marked as LOCAL and have #2 setup for fsxNet.
