• 1.12 A34 Versus 1.12 A36

    From garycrunk@21:2/105 to Avon, g00r00 on Monday, December 04, 2017 18:57:35
    time being, will there be any problems / incompatibility between A34 and A36 when it comes to Sending/Receiving things like fsx_net messages?

    I am currently running A34 and am happy with it's performance on both Windows and Linux BBS's I am running...

    If there would be an issue, then I can upgrade to A36...

    Your expertise is appreciated...

    Just a really stupid question. If I choose NOT to upgrade to A36 for the time being, will there be any problems / incompatibility between A34 and A36 when it comes to Sending/Receiving things like fsx_net messages?

    No, your system should continue to function just fine. You'll just miss out on bugs (both new ones and fixed ones lol) and new features. But if there aren't any new features that interest you or bugs that bother you, then you're good to go.

    I've seen some people still using 1.11 or back in the 20s with alphas.

    No there are no impacts on your system Gary, just the passage of time with differing bugs being squashed and some newer features coming along. When you
    do opt to upgrade be sure to check the upgrade.txt for guidelines :)

    Paul;
    Many Thanks. I will probably upgrade to A36 eventually, I've just not had any problems or bugs with A34... It seems to me to run just great... no problems... So I say to my self, Why break it if it's not broken... :) Or,
    if it's not broken, don't mess with it... :P
