    g00r00,

A great program/tool you could add into mystic, maybe into -cfg, would be a packet inspector for .pkt files. Basic info would be great in a window for
each packet in the echomail directory.

I run mystic as both Fidonet and Extranet NET 40 hub and a packet inspector would be awesome built into mystic.

Also the ability to somehow export or even jsut copy for troubleshooting purposes would be a nice feature.

    Thank you!

This is on the list of TODOs!

But unfortunately none of the "fun new stuff" can get done until I get MIS2 completed. I am getting close with MIS2 though! It will be fun to start working on newer stuff afterwards!

Understood! MIS2 is looking very nice. I run Linux x64 in daemon mode on a datacenter hosted machine (no access to a desktop, etc). Everything is run on
a headless ubuntu server machine with ssh access. The new MIS2 works great
    with using the mis2.log.

I thought about using screen and running mis2 console, but i like the daemon mode better.

The new mis2 seems a lot more stable. I had some issues where multiple mis daemons were being spawned. And the logging is nice as well.

Are you going to just remove mis and rename mis2 to mis?

Yes that is the plan, once I get all of the servers into MIS2.

The most difficult one by far is the FTP server, but I have just finished that this weekend... So now I can move over the NNTP server and finally POP3/SMTP.

The ability in python OR MPL to be able to upload a file to a directory. Not
a predetermined file area called "Uploads"

    Is this possible?

    Thanks!

I would like to requet what I think would be a pretty simple feature request.

When you are in the Files area and select the Sysop Command /E for the File List editor, it lists the following:

    Group....:
    Area.....:
    Command ->

How about adding the Filepath to the directory the file is located?

I was wanting to do something outside of Mystic trying to locate the file. Having that file path to the file I desired would have made it something I could do in seconds versus going back to the configure program and seeing what the file path is for the group the file was located in.

    Done. :)

The next release will list the file area name and the path of that file
    area.

    Thanks for the suggestion.

Here is a thought for what may be a quick/easy feature to implement.

From the MIS server, have hot keys with the Function keys.

Within the configure part of Mystic, be able to assign events to those
    function key presses.

There are times I would like to force an event to check for email or do other mutil processing without having to open another window..

I guess one could also create a shortcut on the desktop to accomplish the
same thing, but having it all within the server would keep everything contained.

    Just my 2 cents.
