    Hi Solaris!

    20 Sep 2016 13:54, from solaris -> All:

FSX net connected BBSes as of 09.20.16
    104 fido.ricsi.priv.at Richard Menedetter fido.ricsi.priv.at

I am not running a BBS.
It is a pure FTN system without a connected BBS.

    Regarding the telnet discussion.
That is completely normal, mostly people scanning for known accounts.
For me personally it does not make a lot of sense to block complete countries. Just make sure that you and your users have secure passwords, and then the scan
    attempts cannot really harm you.
    Just my 2 cents ;)

    CU, Ricsi

Yep and we did update the listing in the nodelist some time ago at your
    request :)

Todd - perhaps we change the heading to 'connected systems as of xxx' ? What
    do you think?

    Hi Avon!

    your request :)

    Yes.
The previous entry for Sysname was Ricsi_BBS which is factually wrong.
Putting in the FQDN into the Sysname field makes much more sense, plus there are still some strange ancient programs around that look there for the FQDN.

I have no issue with being on the list.
I just assumed that it wants to be a BBS list, and you will reach my SSHd instead of a BBS if you try to SSH into that FQDN.

If it is a list of connected system, I am happy to be on it.
(also no need to change the caption, maybe just add an asterisk and put in * MO, FTN system without a BBS or something similar)

    Here is the original request.

Please change my FSXNet Nodelist entry.
    The Sysname falsely claims Ricsi_BBS.
Please change the Sysname to fido.ricsi.priv.at as requested in my original application.

    CU, Ricsi

Yep that's a good idea also... I'll leave it to Todd/Solaris to decide how he wants to run it, it's his creation and I'm grateful for his efforts :)

Hope you're day is going well, nice to see you online..

Still much to do at work, and I am a bit scared by the number of unread messages in fsx_gen

So I postpone reading it, and they get more and more ...

Should start taking a look at them ... maybe tomorrow ;)

My work is also busy but I'd rather it that be that way than the other :)

Yes, message count keeps ticking along, I wouldn't stress too much, just skip over stuff an read what takes your fancy as and when you're able.

At the moment I seem to lack the time to even do that ;)
But I want to skim through, as there are usually some gems hidden in there.
