  • Internet outage

    I hear there's a major internet outage today but it doesn't affect us on the BBS at all ;) Doesn't affect the cloud based database we're using either. Anyone having trouble with the outage?
    Is there a Spell Checker ON/OFF key sequence? My Spell Checker shows OFF
    right now and I know I set it up and had it working last week. I don't see it in the Help. Control-W does nothing right now. I did Ubuntu updates anyone
    else loose spell checking out there?

    Not sure, but mine is working fine, more likely an update at your end perhaps may have altered something? There's certainly been some dramas globally

    Read over the README.txt and did the find:
    sudo find /usr -name libhunspell*
    and got to list for libhunspell.so so did the link:
    sudo ln -s /usr/lib/libhunspell-1.3.so.0 /usr/lib/libhunspell.so
    (did see /usr/lib/libhunspell-1.3.so.0 in the find list above) so it should
    be fixed, it's still off so I'll have to restart some stuff ;(

    Hmm, restarted and still not working did:
    sudo apt-get install libhunspell-dev
    to reinstall and then it worked! I suspect updates killed hunspell for some reason even though it left the libraries. Anyway Spell Checker is working again. :)

    Good to hear. I have that sort of thing happen a lot with updates. I have
    to reinstall VMWare tools in my one Linux VMware constantly because of it lol
