• XMODEM Question ex YouTube

    Hi g00r00

From the Mystic Guy YouTube channel I have the following question from Chros Schneider

    [snip]

Is there the standard XMODEM CRC protocol available to use? The XMODEM-1k is not compatible with older 8 bit systems that I want to support but the
original XMODEM CRC is. If so, how would I implement it.

    [snip]

If you want to reply here I can paste the answer back to him on the channel
    for all to see.

Thanks in advance for any feedback.

    Best, Paul

Xmodem-1K should fallback to Xmodem-CRC if I am not mistaken but of course it has had very little testing since Xmodem is never really used by anyone.

If there needs to be a new Xmodem-CRC I can add that in for you, I just need
    a way to test it.
