The work around modified mutil is awesome , nice tutorial . I hoping for a mutil stanza simplified just for cdroms somthing like

DIR = C:\WALNUT\KIRKS\
FILE LIST NAME = INDEX.000 (OR WHAT EVER)
SECURITY/GROUP =S10Z25 (OR WHAT EVER)

and some how have it give it a data name automatic
problem being im not sure if all cdroms have a easy way to " standardize "
the import , I would think the mutil "engine" would need to be rather cleaver to adjust for slight variations . lets see what shakes loose from g00r00

I'm not sure that would programmable because in my experience, a lot of
CD-ROMS had a wide range (Not standardized) of layouts and structures of
their folders and files. Also as an example Files.bbs can be structured ever so slightly (i.e. comment section starting at column 57... or 56, or starting with a | or other character...

Some of them not even having standard files.bbs, or 00_index.txt files...
As well, some CD's do not have a file_id.diz in every .ZIP. Some CD's have varying Archive file types, .Zip, .Arj, .Zoo, .Pck etc... So one could not
jus rely on file_id.diz to get the information for the listing...

The problem really is that a lot of publishers out there ignored the "Common Standard" for BBS Listings and just made up their own in a lot of cases... Others conformed to the standard of the time... So it's hard to say what CD
is laid out how... They are all different even in a small way.

I have several CD's here like stuff from Walnut Creek and so forth that I
will take a look at them and do a comparison chart just to see how different
or similar they are...

Sure it would be fantastic to come up with a program to do all of the things needed to do as per my little tutorial.. If I can find a "Common Ground" somewhere in a group of varying CD's, then I may be able to construct a nice little Utility to do that for people...

Mystic's files.bbs importer is completely configurable to handle all of that stuff. Its really the areas that cannot be imported because there is no real standard.
