How are you doing it now?

    Thanks for the Quick reply
    What I do now is
    1: create the file group
2: Manually create each area/sub directory
3: Perform a mass upload using the file id.

It takes a really long time to add each directory , some of my disks have 100 or so areas.

I was hoping for maybe a simple mutil to add all the paths / descriptions. access and z .

I have a mutil work around from Gary ( Ill repost it )

Is the disk "BBS-ready" in that it contains the areas and descriptions in
    some sort of file?

Indeed they do , usually a file.bbs or dir.txt . I can run the import
files.bbs or mass upload diz , but importing file location, group z and security levels, area name and what not is really hard via mutil .
    Thanks :)

When I'm adding Cd's to Mystic I make a CDname.NA file and let Mutil make all the area names, security levels etc for me. Then import the Files.bbs from there.
Pretty much the same way that Gary does it and has wrote about it just recently.
I can send you a couple of .NA files if that helps.

    Cheers

Okay I wonder what the contents of dir.txt are...

We need to find a consistant format in order to import the areas. MUTIL already does files.bbs and .NA style files (for areas) but if there is something else that might work, we can look into that too.

I am open to suggestions. The only thing I can think of is to point Mystic
at a root drive location and then have it create an area for each message
    base.

The CDMX2 CD-Rom door that I've used for many years was actually built to
work with Maximus BBS, or about any other software. All 102 CDR's here use DIR info text files for all my CD's. Here is a example format.

Once everything is imported once, you should be able to just use MUTIL to
mark everything as "offline" that isn't actually online.

Yes, most bbs ready CDR-disc have some type of 00_index.txt or allfiles.lst
or even plain DIRS that will list {paths} for the directories. So sure it should be kinda simple to create any *.NA from a allfiles or index.txt -----------------------------------------
