• Mystic On Pi Question.

Question: I am looking to run Mystic on a new Pi under Rasparian Jesse.
I of course run sudo ./mis under Terminal. But the fonts on the screen make
it very hard to read... Is there a Font I should use or download for the Pi?
I can work throug it.. but it just looks Messy...

    Any ideas?

What am I doing? I have a Raspberry PI with Rasparian Jesse loaded, the system is connected to one of those new 1Tb WD Drives. I am thinking of switching bad to the PI from the current windows xp install.

I'm just having issues with the Terminal "Fonts"...

    Many Tanks.

Yes, in mystic -cfg goto to configuration > login/matrix > and set local codepage to UTF8

Try what Avon said, but really on the Pi it's better to:
    sudo ./mis -d
and view the board with ./nodespy
It's generally more stable that way. On Windows you want to run in a shell as Administrator and do mis or a batch file loop, on Linux it's better to run in daemon mode (sudo ./mis -d). It's just how things work best on each OS. I
could guess Mac to be like Linux (since it was based off Linux).

    codepage to UTF8

    Paul;
Many thanks. I found it's actually CP437 that makes it look "Normal"... the UTF8 is what it was (making it look bad)... Once I changed that to CP437
it all came up looking "Normal"... in both ./mis as well as normal log on.

I am still debating whether to migrate back to PI from Windows XP Mystic.
I am not much of a Linux guy, I'm just an old school DOS guy...

As always, many thanks for the assistance... You are always a big help... And as I always say, if there is anything you need... Just ask.
