• Mystic Front-End - Transfer CRC issues.

From Weatherman@21:1/132 to All on Thursday, December 22, 2016 16:34:00

I was recently informed that my ZModem transfers on my WWIV BBS are failing with CRC errors ever since using Mystic to front-end the setup.

I remember Tiny bringing this up before and was wondering if anyone knew of a fix (another DOS ZModem app) or something. Not sure if anyone already went through figuring this out.

    Thanks!

When you're calling this protocol what one are you using in Mystic?

Z for Zmodem or ! using rhe Sexyz Zmodem?

Transfers on Mystic work fine, just not on my WWIV nodes. I'm running WWIV as an option from Mystic's shuttle menu.

On the WWIV side, I'm using the classic DSZ Zmodem 16-bit. From what I understand, SEXYZ is 32-bit only so I wouldn't be able to give that one a try.

I did see PD Zmodem on PC Micro's website, so I was going to give that one a try since it works in DOS (eCS) and may work better with this particular setup.

I do know that SEXYZ fixes this issue for WWIV nodes running 32-bit, but I'm still classic 16.
