    Hi G00r00,

    I tried accessing Mystic BBS via SSH using both Netrunner and Putty but both do

    the same thing. They start to login, ask for graphics mode, then lock up :(

    Not sure what to say. Every single login I do to my BBS is via SSH through NetRunner. This is with the Win32 version?

    64-bit Win 7 Pro Netrunner calling 32-bit Win 7 Pro Mystic BBS :) I'm not the only one having this problem but I'm the only one still reporting it {chuckle}

    Interesting. I have 233 calls into my BBS using Win10 NetRunner via SSH to Linux Mystic and not a single issue ever. I've even uploaded gigs of files, etc.

    Today I copied my BBS to Win32 and compiled NetRunner for 64-bit (Windows10) and logged in a few times, and I am not able to find any issues.

    The only thiing I may do different is run 32-bit Wins 7 Pro in an Oracle VBox :)

    It definitely hangs up here, EVERY time, always has lol

    Ahh yeah VitualBox isn't really made for gaming, so I am not surprised by
    that. VMware seems to fair better but even that isn't great. I'll have to
    try to setup a VBox OS someday to see if there is something I can do but I am not sure there will be.

    Hi G00r00,

    Just an FYI, I got SSH up and running with Mystic thanks to bcw142's help. I reinstalled the older CL32.dll and VC runtime for 2015 and voila', up she came {chuckle}

    Hi G00r00,

    I am trying to SSH to Mystic 32-bit Wins from my iPhone using Mocha Telnet and get the following:

    What can I do to correct this?

    Mystic doesn't allow you to start sessions with encryption levels that are hackable. diffie-hellman-group1-sha1 is not considered secure.

    Is there a newer version or another client you can use? Or does that client allow you to specify any encryption options?

    Ah, ok, that's a good catch

    Nada on options but will check out other clients, thanks :)

    I would try 3.4.5. The beta may have new stuff that Syncterm doesn't
    work with.I have never tried it so I can't say for sure.

    I wonder if anyone has built cryptlib on a Pi and can give Charles any hints?

    I already had it working on my Pi, but I just ran through the steps again and it worked for me. Here's what I did:

    $ sudo apt update ; sudo apt upgrade
    $ sudo apt install build-essential manpages-dev zip unzip
    $ mkdir /tmp/cryptlib
    $ cd /tmp/cryptlib
    $ wget
    https://cryptlib-release.s3-ap-southeast-1.amazonaws.com/cryptlib345.zip
    $ unzip -a ./cryptlib345.zip
    $ sudo make shared
    [time passes]
    $ ls libcl*.so*
    libcl.so.3.4.5
    $ sudo mv ./libcl.so.3.4.5 /usr/lib/libcl.so

    For what it's worth, I'm using Raspberry Pi OS Lite (formerly Raspbian).
