Hi all

I'm looking at importing a .NA file, to avoid a lot of tedious typing, but I'm having trouble understanding a few of the options. From the wiki, I have worked out most of them, but the 3 below I don't understand what they're for, and I can't find any examples. Can anyone shed any light?

header = msghead

; Display template to use in message base
read_template = ansimrd

; Index template to use in message base
index_template = ansimlst

They are as they describe, the ansi templates for displaying the messages.

They are located in the text directory and can be edited with the ansi editor.

I would suggest to leave them as you have them currently set in your existing message bases.

Ignore them, they are display files for the message base, you don't need to alter them. Leave as is. :)

Hmm, that I have to look up, I've never touched those settings, don't even recall them. UI customisation has never been a strong point of nine (more of a bugbear than anything). :/

Anyway, looks like the ones I have are the same as across the rest of the system, so after a few more checks, I'll be good to go. :)

Unless you have heavily customized the look of Mystic and are using different file (names) then they are perfectly fine as-is and can be completely ignored.

Mystic has a great global editor, if you ever find yourself changing these
they can be all changed quickly :)

Cool, yeah not likely to be doing that. :) UI stuff is bottom of my priority list. :) The Mystic system has evolved to become a dedicated FTN hub. :)
