I setup my Pi with Prefect DOS VGA 437 Win 12" set as Terminal font for lxterminal (the default for Raspbian). To connect to it remotely I often
use Ubuntu Linux versions with GNOME terminal or the like as default.
Default doesn't mean only, so I did 'sudo apt-get install lxterminal'.
That will show up in Unity under lxterminal or in the menu under System
Tools. Bring that up and ssh to the Pi and Perfect DOS VGA 437 Win 12"
font will take over and work so everything is cp437 for you. Note to ssh
I use 'ssh -l pi <local address> -X' as that will make things like F2 work remotely. You do need to do Preferences for that lxterminal and under
Advanced check 'Disable using Alt-n for tabs and menu' so Alt-E and such
work under mystic. This makes pretty much everything work remotely and
easily and look the best it can.
