I've finally 'pay it forward' with helping a new Mystic and Syncrhonet Sysop soon to be online! Back when I was trying to set up my dors and echomail,
Avon signed into my computer and had me up and running and I learned from watching, then from breaking stuff! hehe

One of my users has been having a hell of a time setting up Mystic and Syncrhonet. Like Avon did for me, I had him install Team Viewer, and set up stuff and showed him what I was doing! I got Mystic running, connected to
his Domain server, downloaded Pablo Draw so he can edit his menus, set up DOSEMU and netfoss so when he wants to set up doors, it's all set! for Syncrhonet, I set that up, set up his webserver on Syncrhonet, set up his firewall and port forwarding... set him up with Bluegriffon so he can make
his website for Mystic... did this all in a long fun night morning!

Felt good to finally help someone the way you guys have helped me....
So I'm saying THANK YOU!! Not to just Avon, but a TON of you guys who have pointed me in the right direction to set up my BBSes!

You guys are AWESOME!!

It's an unbelievable feeling isn't it. Back in the day when I was heavy into Image BBS for the C64 I ran a sysOp group called NISSA. Just being able to
help those who didn't understand was such a blast. I sold a local sysOp the software and when he received it he wasn't sure what to do, so I went over
his house, he kept feeding me beer and chips and I set him up, like you
showing him everything. There will be a day when I can pay it forward to Al
and Avon for what they have done for me. When that day comes I will feel just as good as you do today.. :)

He really does, he's fairly new to SysOp side, even from back in yesteryeaar
so I've pointed him in the direction of the easiest apps to use and set them
up for him too. After I get my end stablized I'm going to help him tweak it
to his liking. I even have links on my BBS website to help boost his userlist :)

I've been waiting to help someone for awhile, I've put out my fishing pool,
I'm still sorta a 'high novice' but I figure things out, but that's the fun part! My next project is a huge one, requiring more time than anything but
I'm gonna do it! It makes me sweat just thinking about it!

And when I had that 'greatful' feeling, I had it helping this fellow, so much so I worked on his set up for almost a whole 24 hours on the last day, I knew he was anxious to get it up, with one red eye, super tired, I got it up!
You'll see him connected here soon as he's happy with his setup! :)

THEN my job is done!

Breaking stuff is is the only way to fly. I've been online for three days now and broken a half dozen things -- fidopoll, echomail addressing, SSH, doors. Next up, I'm going to break Fidonet.
