Good luck. I never got mine, and I requested one last year, in April.

WOW! Am surprised...especially when people today want to run their
software. If this is the case...looks like I better start looking for
another method to get it registered.

It's been a few weeks now. Did you get the reg code? Just curious.

BTW...got any other software which is usable with JAM message bases
where we don't need to deal with the author not wanting you to register
    their software?

I haven't explored any of the other progs that I might need like that at
the moment. My bbs plans have a setback. Although I have the ideal spare little pc to operate a bbs with, my main dsl modem/router has a broken port-forwarding function. It is not a prudent thing to spend $'s on something like that at this dire/covid time.

Nope...but Sean Dennis over on MicroNet (also an ArcaOS user) will talk to
the FrontDoor people for me to see what he can do.

Just got all my message bases inputed into FastEcho last night...so was able
to run an AREAS.BBS. If anything...can run FMail & figure out a way to do netmail...probably with Squish. In terms of time...200 bases took about a
week between shifts at work to get it done...but it is...so the hard part is done.

Now...gotta get DB setup as my front end & will be doing some tests from OS/2-TG/2 to the hubs...then tweak it some more.

If you're running with CenturyLink & they are using the normal DSL modem
(Zyxel brand)...I p/u mine last year for $5 used from Goodwill. Unlike ComCrap...they didn't give me any hassles about using used equipment from former customers. Wished me well...told me to upgrade my modem from their website (have done twice already) & been going like crazy ever since.

D'B was going to be my choice as a frontend too. But it refused to route messages properly - instead, letting them sit on hold and claiming that
the destination address did not exist. :(

I configured mine to operate as a full temporary (valid) node: 1:104/9999
in preparation for a fido node request.

I created several test messages to send out. All the destinations were all searchable and found successfully using the internal nodelist function.

BUT.. this is the result I got:

Everything behaved copastic up until it switched to front-end mode above.
As you can see, all the messages I created refused to go anywhere.

My DSL provider probably doesn't care what piece of equipment I use
either. As long as the login parameters are correct, I should be able to
    use any modem/router.

At this point, I don't think my DSL provider cares to bother with
"support". I already had to fight a bit with them when the service went
down for nearly a week! All I wanted was a credit for unused service for
the week - just 1/4 of the equivalent monthly fee as a minimum. Initially they didn't even offer that. They only capitulated when I mentioned that
as a solution to my complaint.

So yes.. if I had the patience, I'd be looking for another DSL modem/
    router box and try that.

And the way D'B chooses to behave, that's not going to cut it either. :(

If I remember correctly, there is nothing disabled in the unregistered version of FE. The only thing would a constant stamp "UNREG" in the PID,
    or something.

That was going to be my fallback option. But then I may have had some experience with the Fmail alternative in the past, but I don't remember.

Take a look at Tek Savvy. teksavvy.com. I considered the switch before I did it
    and haven't been disappointed.

    :(

I would hope and think that D'Bridge would have no trouble delivering netmail but I have not used it in many years. Well, I never did use it but looked it over and thought the editor was easy to look at.

I did it and haven't been disappointed.

I was with them for years and years here. Unfortunaly when Rocky
retired the company went down hill fast. They kept lowering my speeds
from what I wanted to the 6mb package, I would call sit on hold for 4-
6 hours to be told Bell must have done it. Charge me $150 setup fee
AGAIN to raise the speed back to 15mb, then a month later it would be
    6mb again.

The last time I called them I just told them to shove it right up
their ass, been with fido/robbers cable since. Also has issues but at
    least it's fast.

Consdiering D'Bridge moves the mail for zone 1 in fidonet (and
possibly zone 2) I'd say it is most likly a config error.

No clue. Ask a HUB I guess. I just send the mail to Avon as I always
have. Ezycom hasn't been updated in years and no one has ever
complained about how it process mail.
