Anyone tried watching Altered Carbon? Its on Nitflux. Looked interesting but I
couldn't be fagged starting concurrent series. As they tend to go end to end as the Missus watches them. Not sure why she started watching it, because it popped up on my phone.

Its a little... odd, but its been good enough to stick with..

Tried to watch it last series & made it through about 3 episodes. Got the current series on the server & may watch it. Still have to do Lost in Space still.

Haven't seen much second season yet. Poe remains but not the same so far. Its got an odd cast like that... I've seen "Misty Knight" from Ironfist and the
new Tak is Falcon/Capt America from the MCU. And I'm irritated I can't figu
re out where I seem to recall the owner of the fight drome from... the one
with the inflatable face and red flat top hair.

We're talking about Altered Carbon - right? I've been diving into Season 2 watching an episode most evenings and have been enjoying it so far. I did

Yes. Season 2 does seem OK compared to season 1 but I often feel that way about
follow ups.

Same it can be a bit uphill for S2 or S3, all depends on the writers I think.

This was my feeling exactly. Loved season 1. About a week ago I watched the first episode of season 2 and thought, ermmm this is different.

I understand sleeves and therefore different bodies are inherent to the
premise of the show, but I like character continuity and the physical form is
a large part of that, to me. Plus I liked the cast in season 1. Meh.

Started watching Altered Carbon last night due to this convo. It's like a
weird mashup of Blade Runner future dystopia and very light existential
cloning stuff ala Greg Egan (who is definitely not light).

Oh, and through in a bunch of full-frontal nudity and sex 'n future-drugs.

The whole sleeve thing probably makes the producers happy, they can change
out the cast and Doctor Who that shit when it makes sense.

So yeah, only at EP4 -- but digging it so far.

It's not The Expanse, but it'll do to get a scifi fix :)
