• formaldehyde in products

shampoo, I found one thats "organic" not sure how organic..

Before that I used to think it was just bad dandruff and keep trying
to wash it more and more...

Zest brand hand soap was the only one she could handle in later years.
True to the commercial, it was the best soap that didn't leave any
lingering traces when rinsed off. But either the body's resistance
changes over time or the soap formulation changed when she could not
tolerate Zest on a regular basis.

She had the dandruff-like symptoms. That's why we tried the dark (coal
tar based?) shampoos for a while.. but they did not work. They only
seemed to make the good parts of the skin more sensitive and inflamed.

But one "preservative-free" "fragrance-free" shampoo (primarily to avoid formaldehyde) made a huge immediate difference and provided relief and
    natural healing.

Our bodies can put up with a lot of abuse from the chemicals found in traditional products, but then can set the stage for medical treatment
later in life. It's best to avoid most of the commercial crap.

After radiation and chemo, my mom swears by Zest. Apparently her skin was
left very sensitive by the treatment and most people that went through the treatment use it.

There's a lot to be said for old-fashioned, hand-milled soap. Expensive, but it lasts significantly longer than manufactured, perfumed soaps.

I got a bar of Pre de Provence soap as a birthday present (from a jolly old shopkeeper who overheard it was my birthday) and I put it in our upstairs bathroom - the one where I tell the kids to wash their hands before meals.

The following birthday, it was still hanging in there. We'd have gone
through a bottle of liquid soap, or several bars of mass-produced soap.

... What were you really thinking about just now?
