And yep, the format and look of your message is fine. I don't see any Y2K issues with it.

I loved Bluewave back in the day. I could convert across to running Multimsil to Bluewave, but I like having native readers.

It's a great format. George Hatchew did well putting it all together.

The BlueWave file format? I just looked at that recently for some reason. Not a
great format (IMHO), though I suppose less-bad than the original QWK format. QWK has proven to be easily-extensible however since it's just a collection of ZIPped files.

Yes, my thoughts on BW go back to the 90's.

QWK has proven to be easily-extensible however since it's just a collection of ZIPped files.

Synchronet is a special case since you have worked to extend the format. I don't think there is much, if anything to gain for someone on a Synchronet BBS to use BW over QWK.

In general when folks are downloading mail packets from various BBSs (BBBS comes to mind) it might be better to use BW when it's available.

I think your extentions to QWK are awesome. The way nodes and users can transfer files is a great addition and makes things like InterBBS gaming easy between QWK nodes.

The email also is a great feature of QWK networking although I'm not sure if I should call that email or netmail.. :)

I've been meaning to ask apam if he would consider adding some of those extentions to Magicka since it does QWK very well also. I'm not sure if that will go anywhere or not but I'll ask.

    Ttyl :-),
    Al
