18 miles West of New Albany Indiana on I-64 is the First Capitol of Indiana, Corydon.
It's in Harrison County, I'm in Floyd County.
We may end up near Boonsville for Christmas, we may have to swing by Corydon to check it out. Pre-Covid it was an overnight field trip for our middle school; they've since stopped doing the trip. My oldest really enjoyed visiting.

Ft. Wayne .. haven't been there in years, we usually go past there to Angola where the lakes are which is always a beautiful area to visit. T

Boonville has a very photogenic courthouse. IIRC, I think it was built
in 1904 or thereabouts.
The trip to Fort Wayne, Indiana was necessary, had to go to Sears to buy some clothes for Me.
Forgot to pack My clothes in the car on our trip to Huntington Indiana, Huntington is South-West of Fort Wayne, off I-69.
Yes I LOVE Boonville's original downtown and how active it still is. Most old
towns in Indiana are very depressed such as Gaston, or Anderson. Boonville ha
a much different vibe.
Our youngest son got car sick literally 25 miles before
reaching his grandpas house so we had to stop at the Walmart in Boonville to get him a new shirt and pants. I had always only ever hit the old general store and antique stores in Boonville, I had no clue it even had a Walmart or had recalled seeing that side of town. It was nice to see a smaller town more
in a growth spurt than one of decline.
