What kind of year do you think it will be like?
On 04 Jan 2022, The Millionaire said the following...
I'm predicting that it will be more of the same with a few surprises, a few good but mostly bad. That seems to be the way the 20s are going so far.

What kind of year do you think it will be like?
My guess is one about 365 days long, give or take 6 hours. We'll
probably get to complete a full orbit of the sun and put up with a lot
of BS.
I'm predicting that it will be more of the same with a few surprises, a few good but mostly bad. That seems to be the way the 20s are going so far.
You're not wrong...but I really think you're missing the point of the question...
I'm predicting that it will be more of the same with a few surprises, few good but mostly bad. That seems to be the way the 20s are going s far.I'm hoping for more good than bad. I liked my 20s :)
I was being a little facetious there.
3: Biden might go, not sure, but I wouldn't be surprised to see Harris
as the US President.
4: No war with China, but getting closer to it.
5: More focus on environment issues, climate change, sustainability,
with the solutions being more imposed top down, than bottom up through
our voluntary choices. That is to say, instead of society acting democratically, companies and the state will just do what they want for "our good".
Politics are taboo on fsxNet, in case you hadn't heard...
Pretty sure that's still politics! Forget about that!
What do YOU want to see, this next year? What matters to YOU?
Heh. I liked mine, too! When I was in my 20s, the 20s were the Roaring 1920s. Now the 20s are the Mewing 2020s.

And to learn to say no, stop putting myself in situations I don't want
to be in because I think it is the right thing to do.

I hear the songs on the radio from when I was in my 20s and they now
call them classic hits - sigh :)

I don't mean that as an insult, sir! I'd literally stand in awe, because you'd be the first I've spoken to! My grandfather died in his 70s, and that was the oldest elder I'd ever spoken to before now...

Nah, I'm a mere quinquagenarian. I was in my 20s in the 90s, but since
the 2020s hadn't arrived yet, whenever anyone mentioned the 20s in the 90s, they were referring to the 1920s.
I'm sure even the cave man has struggled with this same problem! My music isn't the same as yours, child! Mine is better!`
IMHO, this is the most difficult, and most important, lesson anyone can learn. It's very difficult to compare "what's the right thing" versus "what's good for me". In many situations, these are opposite!
I'm a Christian. Most of the time, I can ask myself "What would Jesus
do?" and find an answer. But, you are not me, and probably not Christian.
And that's okay!
Instead, ask yourself "What would <your hero> do?"
I guarantee he/she would care just as much about

Indeed. Being too accommodating, trusting can be a problem. Giving people the benefit of the doubt, ignoring that gut instinct which tells you something is off is a character flaw.
Learn to just walk away.
I'm not Christian, but some of my good friends are. Nevertheless, "What would Jesus do" is still good advice.

Don't have a hero, but there are people I respect who I think where very insightful.

Even a Christian can be broken, my friend.
All it takes is a member of your favorite gender.
It's very difficult to walk away from what no man can tear asunder!
This man is trying his best!
Don't have a hero, but there are people I respect who I think where v insightful.
Liar! Don't lie to yourself! You know who your hero is...
Mine is my dad. He's SuperMan. Despite his heart attack. Even that didn't slow him down...

True, but it is better to walk away at the beginning, then later on.
That is the lesson. If someone doesn't seem right, don't pursue a relationship, because later on, when its not good for you, things will
In all honesty, no name comes to mind. I do not think in terms of "heroes". There are people I respect, people who I value, but "hero" is something else. Someone who might end up saving my life, that person
would be a hero.
Hypocrite! Silence yourself! You cannot even love your new friends, let alone your family! And yet, you think you can give advice to others? (@_@)

I'm a 'quatro-genarian' then. AKA in my 40's.
I still get you. As much as my parents were pissed when I called ABBA 'classic', I
pissed when children call Linkin Park 'classic'!
I got ai
little muddled there. misunderstandng on my
part?? maybe.
The old people I know get kind of happy when something they liked in
their youth is
finally recognized as a classic. Specially if it was something frowned upon by society
back in the day. It kind of validates them and sends the message "We
told you this
stuff was good".
Popular opinion is that I kinda confused everyone there. Don't worry, I won't let my other personality interfere again! ;)
Once again, sorry.
