In your msgbase settings there is a setting for "Force NL Match". If you set that to yes make sure you use the MergeNodelists option of mutil to import your nodelists and keep your nodelists updated.

Or just leave that option off.

I must admit, I can't actually locate this "Force NL Match" setting (so far), but previously, new message bases were added automatically, now I'm not too sure why...

    I will investigate further...

It's in the message base settings, near the bottom right in mystic -cfg, it's not in the message base editor.

Thanks, that's the ticket I was looking for...
Both settings have been updated now...

I sent another AREAFIX to 21:1/100 via NetMail.
I get responses that show me the list of message bases, * next to the active ones.

None of them are being added still.

Also, the second reply advises me that dflorey is not found...
Not sure what has caused this...

    Yep, that''s good.

None of them are being added still.

Just list the areas you want added in the message to areafix.

    +FSX_GAMING
    +FSX_SPORTS

Use * if you want to connect to everything

    +*

The + is optional, you can use - to remove areas.

Also, the second reply advises me that dflorey is not found...
Not sure what has caused this...

It's probably your signature. If you add a tearline "--- ", below your commands on a new line areafix will ignore anything below that, but it's a harmless error so I wouldn't worry about it any.

    Hi Al

Still not sure what's going on... Message bases are reportedly being added according to the areafix responses, but they're just not being automatically added to the message base config & being displayed as a selectable area in messages. This used to be automatic, and not sure what has changed.

Sounds like you are connected to the areas you want but you want a rescan also? The commands a showed you won't rescan areas but you can do that like this in a message to areafix..

    %rescan FSX_SPORTS
    %rescan FSX_ARTS

    ...

And carry on with any other areas you want to rescan.

No harm done, I was also taking the piss...
There are plenty of local favs, but also a lot of very popular imports.
Again, I don't know a single person that drinks Fosters.
My father & uncles all used to drink Vic Bitter, its cheap crap but still plenty of people have a liking towards it...

I personally like the XXXX Lagers - Either regular or mango. Very easy to
sink a heap and not realise how many you've had, yet still being full
    strength!

James Squires is another local fav - plenty to choose from in their range.

SF was a fun place to work, and a fun place to grab a drink afterwards. I worked at Williams-Sonoma right out of college, their corporate office was across the street from Pier 39; North Beach was walking distance for lunch.

One of us used to walk to Mario's Bohemian Cigar Shop (actually, a cafe) and buy a grocery bag full of focaccia ends and day-olds for 7 bucks, bring them back and put them in the coffee room.

Later I worked in SOMA up until 2012 or so.
