FB is only good for casual ephemaral chit-chat. Nobody needs a
search function for that.
I'm in quite a few groups that are more than casual ephemeral
chit-chat, and I've actually had a need for the search function
in those groups a few times. Though, for the most part, I don't
disagree.
Sure.. I'd probably use FB more often if I was paid to admin
people's pages too. It pays to be familiar with what you are
getting paid to admin.
Indeed, on a number of occasions, I've considered just quitting
Facebook, I tried avoiding it for the last few weeks. I realized
There were other reasons to keep it, one of my local ham radio
clubs, annoucnes their meetings and posts the zoom links on
Facebook. I missed the meeting this month, as well as a small
local ham fest I would have liked to attend. Oh well.
I too, keep FB in my back pocket only because I have a some
friends and relatives who seem to only use that for messaging
via Messenger) ..and posting some pics from their lives.
Heh, yeah, I have one friend who mostly only contacts me on
messenger, and it's worse then ephemeral chit-chat. It's
completely random and pointless. Drives me nuts.
