• I got a short story published!

    Hi there.

Sorry if I am posting this everywhere, but this is big :-)

I got a short story commissioned and published by a metal magazine. They wanted something specific and apocalyptic, so I made a plot, fit it into my The Worth of Immortality series, and shipped it over.

    Official announcement is here: http://www.richardfalken.com/2020/11/Eight-Minutes-Gets-Published.html

    Thanks there!

Now if they started publishing the Hybrid Fiction magazine, they would make my day a bit more round.

Truth to be told, my first novel was already published in the US by an actual publisher back in the day.

I plan to relaunch it on my own. I feel a bit weird revisiting that book after so many years, and fact is, the book is not _that_old.

I just packaged the next one and sent it over to Samovar. They take stories translated to English from another language, so it does not look like there is a whole lot of competition for that market.

Making it "fit" into your current works is wise. That makes

    We will see.

They are thinking about resurrecting Hybrid Fiction (the magazine) and the editor has promised to review some material from the series. If she likes it, I think I will be able to accomplish my end goal: publish all of the series through a single publication.

Much better than having the fantasy material in a fantasy publication, and the science-fiction material in a science-fiction publication. That would force fans to purchase both of them, which is nopt great.

    I don't think so.

Unless LOTR lord lives in a dimension where it rains fire every night, the sun is a
