DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK
----------------------
At 100 AM CHST...1500 UTC...the center of Typhoon Haishen was located
near Latitude 21.2 degrees North and Longitude 136.1 degrees East...
moving west-northwest at 14 mph. Haishen will track northwest today
with a slight decrease in forward speed, then turn toward the north-
northwest Saturday and Sunday.
Maximum sustained winds have increased to 115 mph. Typhoon Haishen is
forecast to intensify through Saturday, and is expected to become a
super typhoon tonight.
Typhoon force winds extend outward up to 70 miles from the center,
and tropical storm force winds extend up to 220 miles from the
center.
