We fix Corn On The Cob like this:
Corn On The Cob
Husk the Corn, Break the Ears of Corn in half
Blanch in Hot Water for 6 Minutes, Cool in Cold Water 12 Minutes
Pack into Freezer Bags and put them in the freezer
Cook 1 to 4 Frozen Cobbettes(?) in 600 Watt Microwave Oven
for 3 Minutes on High
Rotate the Cobs half a turn and Cook for 3 more Minutes on High
Easier: Do not husk, do not remove anything. Soak in cold water.
Throw on coals and as the bottoms singe, turn so unsinged husks
are on the bottom. Repeat until you've come full circle. When
cool enough to handle, remove husks and silk. Add butter and
salt and pepper to corn ears and eat while still hot. This
method was taught to me by Rich Douville at the first Maryland
picnic, which was about 25 years ago. You can adapt this method
to the nuker as well.
