They must have never had good wine. There are two kinds of wine -
swallowers and spitters. All Kosher wine I have tasted falls into
the latter category unless my palate has been pre-numbed by other
    alcohol consumption.

When it comes to Passover wine, you take what you can get. And when
the meal is brisket that's been all but stewed... all of a sudden
that Kosher wine isn't as bad. A lot of folks drink the four
required slugs and switch to grape juice thereafter.

AFAIK the wine is not a requirement at a Passover Ceder. I've attended
both local congregation's Ceders - one Orthodox, one Reform - and both
offered grape juice to those who did not want (for whatever reason) to
    sip wine.

Categories: Beef, Vegetables, Potatoes, Beans, Wine
    Yield: 8 Servings

    1 lb Dried lima beans
    1/4 c Chicken fat *
3 lb Kosher brisket of beef

Like I said, after mistreated brisket...

<SHRUG> I don't, and won't, keep Kosher for a number of reasons. Prime
among them is that I am not religious in any sense of the word. And I
likes me pork, catfish and shrimp too much.

That's true if it's out in public especially, but traditionalists
still insist on the nasty plonk.

I of course have the excuse of being a Gentile.... with some Jewish
ancestry admittedly, but a lot of folks do.

This is a classic in some circles. I'm trying to think If I've ever
    seen spaghetti sauce mix.

Look near the bottled/jarred spices. I commonly see McCormicks and
French's in 1.25 oz packets. Or you can bundle your own.

I saw it a few times years ago, but we probably have too many real
Italians around for that sort of thing to sell well enough to stay on
    the shelf.
