delicious, being dark meat and fat, but perhaps
something not to be repeated often. To give a
frame of reference, milk, subsidized by the
county, was 2c for an 8-oz carton, whole only,
none of that nonsensical sissy skim stuff.
I remember grade school milk cartons.... ;) I think it was 3c for
chocolate milk (probably noty skim either).... That does make that

I never explored the option of chocolate milk
if there was one. An extra penny for chocolate
might have been worth it even then.

chicken leg a bit of a luxury item... but sounds like it was worth
    every penny of it... :)

If you like dark meat and grease.

Thanks to the miracle of the Internet (ok, the
convenient aspects of the Internet) I can inform you
that there is no toast of any kind on any part of the
rather massive menu, most of which is an appalling
mishmosh of what people think Asian food is like.
Thanks for the warning.... ;) I'll probably still check the paper menu
just in case... and the "specials" board if there is one.. ;)
There is the saving grace of an authentic
Chinese menu, on which you can find things that
likely would be pleasing, such as deep-fried squid
tentacles for 7.25 as an appetizer.
Something to ask for if not offered it.... the menu, for sure... :)

It's on the Website in English, so it should be
    accessible enough.

    Probably made with Spam.
    heh.
I've had supposedly seafood things that might
as well have been made with Spam.
    Predominant flavor being salt....?
    And grease.
Not necessarily too bad, then.... ;)

Well, one requires balance in some things.
Interestingly, the Chinese in all kinds of
places use Spam or Spamoid lunch meat in all
    kinds of recipes.

Yeah - not the most enjoyable picnic ever, but at least
the echo company and some of the clams were good.
    A good precise description.... :)
An accurate one, if you recall the event.
I do recall... memorable high and low points.... ;)

You didn't have to endure the lowest points. It
would have been comfort if others had been staying
at the house, but I was given authorization to use
the place for picnic purposes but not to put anyone
    up there overnight.

Thanks for checking on them.... :) It's good to know that
he's doing ok in that heat.... and enterprisingly using
    his engineering skills... :)
Seemed to work. He didn't say anything about
Kevin or Greg, so I presume they didn't croak.
And you've since had confirmation of that from Jim Weller.... :)
I hear Dorothy Mayman has had some health
    issues, though.
Sory to hear that.... hope she'll be ok... :)

Don't know. Greg was prevented from meeting with
us on the last trip, and I was afraid to ask.

... Mashed potatoes with skim milk is like a sports car with an automatic.

But you could turbocharge it with garlic.

    Creamy Garlic Mashed Potatoes (Makeover)
    Categories: corporate, side, wwtt
    Servings: 8

8 md russet or Yukon gold potatoes, peeled, quartered
    4 lg cloves garlic, peeled
    1/3 c skim milk, heated
    1 ts salt
    1/8 ts pepper
    1/4 c reduced-fat sour cream

Add potatoes and garlic to 3-qt pot with water
(salted if desired) to cover. Heat to boiling.
Reduce heat to medium-low; cover loosely and
let bubble gently 15 to 20 min until potatoes
are tender. Drain; shake pan with potatoes over
    low heat to dry.
    2
Mash potatoes and garlic until no lumps remain.
Add milk in small amounts, beating after each
    addition. Add remaining ingredients. Mash
    vigorously until light and fluffy.

Especially the times that the milk had been allowed to warm up some...
the chocolate covered the slightly off taste... ;)

    Which we both do... (G)

I brought my friend Donna to that one, and she'd've wanted to stay in
the motel even had you been able to put people up.... but otherwise,
I'd've been happy enough to had you been allowed...

Even better with whole milk... ;)
