My advice: buy first class - it's not that much
more, especially if you can find a special
    excursion rate.
Been looking at that site www.rome2rio.com and a couple of legs would be 2 dayers. Andorra to Nice, and Nice to Liechtenstein for instance. I
    can easily
see both as 2 day trips. Sure I could fly...but where's the fun in
    that? So
comfort would be paramount to me, plus I'd like to dump my baggage
    somewhere so
    I could hit the bar.

There's no point rushing through places, I guess,
though those small countries might not deserve
much extra time (though anywhere outside Iowa
should be able to keep one's attention for two days.
You could see what Amy has to suggest - she's a real
travel agent, after all, and can probably give
advice on stuff besides plane tickets.

I'm thinking of trying for two trips before they
do anything like that - there's some mighty
ffine old wine sitting there crying out for
    help getting used up.
I'd like to try some of that Sauvignon Blanc that I had last time, to help

Coteaux de Glanes, I think? We might have had some
others, but they would have been well beyond our
    price range.

develop a baseline for what to buy here. I'm still plugging along
    here, slow
going with only one draining the bottle (this is a warning that when
    you and
Lilli show up I'll expect you two to consume mass quantities of wine). And

She can go through a bottle a day, less a glass
for me, so no problem there. But it has to be red.

yes, the reds were really good! Even if I have no idea of how good,
    but even a
maroon like me thought they tasted good. I'll make a deal...no opera and I won't queue up any Cajun. Dunno how anybody can't listen to Doug
    Kershaw tho,
    hows about Zydeco?

I don't mind Zydeco, and Lilli actually likes
    country music of many sorts.

    Chocolate Matzah Brickle
    categories: KfP, dessert
    yield: 10 servings

2 lb dark chocolate, chips or pieces
    1/4 c vegetable oil
1/2 ts vanilla or almond extract (or tt)
1 box matzah sheets, broken into quarters
    1 c nuts, chopped
    1 c dried fruits, chopped

Line a large baking sheet with parchment
    paper or waxed paper.

Melt the chocolate in a large heatproof bowl
set over a pan of simmering water. Once melted,
thin the chocolate with the vegetable oil; stir
in the vanilla or almond extract.

Coat the matzah, nuts, and dried fruits with
the chocolate and spread onto the prepared
baking sheet. Place the sheet in the refrigerator
for 1/2 hr to cool. Once cool and hardened, remove
from the pan and break into bite-size bits.
    Store in a closed container.

From the websites I've looked at for Andorra, and Monaco that's all the tour companies offer. Single day, or half day, tours. Liechtenstein and Luxembourg
could be 2 days each. I'll probably involve Amy later, the tickets could be complicated (worse than the other trip). This time the trip is more important than the destination to me. I've seen lots of casinos/old churches/old buildings. Although I'd like to re-do parts of the Louvre and make another dash through Musee d'Orsay. As it is, I've sorta shelved the whole trip, along
with any other out of the country. I will admit to looking at hotels in Andorra today so it's really only sorta.

I emailed Jacquie and all she said, in effect, was "Oh that was just some...that comes from...". Of course their idea of what's ordinary wine and my idea vary somewhat, I'm still drinking stuff with an Anime label.

for me, so no problem there. But it has to be red.

Urk...that could be a problem...right now I'm trying to find the substitute white wine.
