I hated the nonfat powdered milk growing up but now I drink something
called Morning Moo's from Augason Farms. It tastes nothing like that
awful stuff from the past and is much cheaper than buying regular milk.

you and your loved ones get calcium and vitamins A and D during a time of crisis. Not only is this dry powdered milk beverage ideal for emergency
food storage, it is also perfect for cooking and baking throughout the
week. Augason Farms milk products make the best drink mixes and can be
used in any recipe that calls for milk.

Morning Moo's Low Fat Milk Alternative -- Certified Gluten Free

Morning Moo's Low Fat Milk Alternative is a whey-based beverage ideal
for everyday use or as a part of your emergency food supply. It looks and tastes like fresh milk, is rich in calcium and fortified with vitamins,
much like 2% milk. Add the indicated amount of water to easily enjoy
this powdered milk beverage. It is delicious served steaming hot with
brown sugar and pumpkin spice. This dry powdered milk alternative can
also be used as a substitute for light cream by adding only half the recommended amount of water.

I have issues with processing milk (I am not lactose intolerant though)
but have none with Morning Moo's. Walmart usually has a cheaper price
on this than Augason unless Augason is running one of their sales.

They also have Chocolate Morning Moo's too.

We used to call it "funny milk" because it was funny how the powder
turned into what (sorta) looked like milk.... AND, it tasted funny... ;0
It was a cost-cutting measure by my parents, started when we were up to
5 or 6 kids, all drinking plenty of milk...

I can almost accept it as an emergency food supply item.... but I don't
see it taking the place of real milk for me....

I have issues with processing milk (I am not lactose intolerant
though) but have none with Morning Moo's.

Neither Richard nor I have any problems processing milk... unless it is
the reduced fat varieties... And have no problems just spending the
little extra to get the real thing... :)

They also have Chocolate Morning Moo's too.

Maybe Chocolate would make it more palatable.... ;) But I'll leave it
for you... :) I do get the Silk Dark Chocolate Almond milk for trips,
or sometimes just for a change, for drinking between meals.... Milk it
isn't, but it's fine on its own terms.... :)
